Jesus was born in the 4th Quarter. (Ruminate on that.) Jesus showed up when it really mattered. Those in business and coaches of sports teams understand that the 4th Quarter is the game changer. This is where the game is won or lost.
We are in the 4th Quarter and Jesus has stepped into the game to get us to finish well. We were lost and without hope, but then He put in His appearance.
With Jesus on the playing field everything changed. Our trajectory shifted because heaven changed its strategy – God sent His only begotten Son to redeem the world. No more need for animal sacrifice. The final spotless Lamb was sent for preparation for the ultimate sacrifice. To give us the ultimate victory. Game ON in this 4th Quarter!
The enemy thought he had the win until Jesus checked-in (to the game)! Everything the enemy thought he had, our Jesus came in and said, “Yuh mad!”
Satan knew that when Jesus appeared on the scene, it was only a matter of time until people would be redeemed. From that day forward he plotted and schemed to get our star player (Jesus) off of the field.
In this 4th Quarter let us huddle with Christ Jesus for Him to reveal unto us through the Holy Ghost what our 4th Quarter strategy need to be.
Let us brace ourselves for the unconventional, uncommon, foolishness of this world instructions.
- He told Moses to stretch out his rod at the Red Sea
- He told Isaac to sow in the famine
- He told Elisha to have the 3 kings dig ditches in war
- He told Gideon to light lanterns to trick the enemy
- He had the King of Kings and Lord of Lords be born in a manger
Don’t question the 4th Quarter strategy He gives you. He is in the game. (Selah)
I say to you today, like Mary said to the servant at the wedding, “Whatever He tells you to do, do it!” The outcome is, you WIN!
Our most effective work must be done in the 4th Quarter. This is the season to tell of Jesus. In this season people are more receptive to the gospel message. Play (and sing) those carols that herald his birth. Saturate the atmosphere with His name – Jesus.
We are in the 4th Quarter of 2020, the enemy thinks he has won and it is game over; enters JESUS! Call His name and let the enemy know that the final bell has not yet rung and we know the result is WE WIN!
So huddle with Jesus. Get intimate with Him in this final quarter – the 4th Quarter – of 2020!
I bet you will never look at Christmas the same way again – it is the 4th Quarter. (Selah)
